LaperleĀ (Moretown, Vt.), formerly Alberghini, graduated with a bachelor's degree in health, wellness, and occupational studies in 2019. She then earned a master's degree in occupational therapy in 2021, and has been an assistant coach with the softball program ever since. As a student-athlete on the diamond, Laperle appeared in 129 games for the Nor'easters – primarily as catcher – helping UNE to an 83-65 overall mark and 45-25 in the CCC while serving as a three-year captain. She was a three-time All-CCC honoree, including 1st Team in 2016 and 2019, when she was voted as the league's Rookie of the Year and unanimous Player of the Year, respectively. In that senior season, Laperle also landed the program's first All-America nod from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), with 2nd Team, as well as UNE's first NFCA All-Region 1st Team selection. She still tops the school standards with 114 career runs scored and 82 stolen bases, while sitting second in on-base percentage (.518), third in batting average (.458), and fifth in hits (165), slugging percentage (.558), and triples (9). Defensively, she committed just eight errors in 547 chances for one of the elite fielding efficiency rates (.985). Over 38 contests in 2019, she batted at a program-record .534 clip and went a remarkable 41-for-41 on steal attempts – among Division III players that year, those ranked fifth (hitting) and fourth (stolen bases/game). Laperle posted a trio of four-hit outings over her time in Biddeford, once had a 5-for-5 game swiping bases, and delivered a two-triple postseason performance to help jumpstart the Nor'easters in the opener of the 2019 playoffs. The 12-4 CCC ledger was UNE's second-highest winning percentage since joining the conference and earned the second seed, and, three wins later, the squad was the last unbeaten team in the double elimination tournament for the third time in program history. Also in 2019, Laperle was UNE's second student-athlete recognized as a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-AmericaĀ® First Team selection.
