Under the direction of UNE Hall of Fame head coach Karol L’Heureux, the 1993 women's volleyball team posted a 22-12 record on its way to the NAIA District 5 championship. After winning its district title, UNE went on to take the NAIA Bi/Tri-District 13 championship and earn a trip to the NAIA National Championship held in San Diego. This marked the second time in three seasons that UNE had qualified for national tournament play.
