Men's basketball player Devin Thompson has been named the UNE Athlete of the Month for December 2013.

The sophomore guard averaged 13.8 points and 3.5 rebounds over four games during the month, while 3.0 assists and posting a 1.7 assist-to-turnover ratio. He made 11-of-26 shot attempts from behind the three-point arc.

Thompson tallied a season-high 21 points in UNE's 66-62 win over Western New England, largely behind 5-of-10 shooting from deep. He also added four rebounds, three assists, and had no turnovers in the contest.
