Women's ice hockey player Jenni Poulin has been named the UNE Athlete of the Month for December 2012.

Poulin tallied six goals and added two assists over three games before the semester break, including a three-goal, two-assist performance as the Nor'easters notched their first-ever victory (6-4) against Stevenson on December 9. In that contest, she put in what proved to be the game-winner less than four minutes into the 3rd period, helping cap UNE's rally from down 4-1 early in the match.

The junior forward recorded all three of Big Blue's goals in the other two games during the period, giving UNE a 1st-period lead each time.
