Women's Basketball player Kelley Paradis has been selected UNE Athlete of the Month for November.
Paradis, a junior from Newport, Maine, averaged 15.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in six contests during the period. The 5'8'' guard also had 3.3 assists, 2.7 steals, and 2.0 blocks per outing in the month.
In the season-opening win (Nov. 15) at Southern Maine (89-79), Paradis racked up a career-high 30 points on 12-of-18 shooting to go with seven rebounds, six assists, four steals, and three blocks. It was UNE's second straight victory over the Huskies, after going 1-35 previously against the perennial regional power.
Later that week, she was named Tournament MVP at the Emerson Tip-Off event, and collected both of the ensuing TCCC and MWBCA (Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association) Player of the Week honors.
