Statistics

SALEM, Mass. -- Ellijah Hanley piled up 14 kills to pace the University of New England in a 3-0 triumph (25-15, 25-18, 25-18) against Salem State University in women's volleyball action on Saturday afternoon (Sep. 7) at the O'Keefe Center. At 5-0, the Nor'easters are off to their second-best unbeaten start to a season in over 27 years.

UNE will look to equal the program's best start on-record when it visits Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Tuesday -- the Nor'easters already swept the Monks in the season-opener last weekend.

Hanley hit at a .500 clip versus the Vikings (2-3), with just one error in 26 attempts. Kailyn Reilly was even more efficient attacking the ball (.750), with six kills in eight swings. Hannah Nowell added six kills, as well, and Kassidy Bradshaw supplied four, on top of leading the squad with 14 assists.

Kelsey Bradshaw contributed of four service aces and a team-high 11 digs; Mina Regnery and Hanley supported the back line effort with nine and seven digs, respectively. The Nor'easters limited Salem State to a -.022 hitting average.

For the hosts, Presley Shairs had six kills. Kailey Roche totaled 13 digs.
