After two free throws by
Kaylee Beyor pushed UNE's lead to eight (41-33) on the opening possession of the fourth, WNE began to chip away at the deficit and grabbed the lead for good (45-43) on a bucket in the paint by Kahn. The Golden Bears built a five-point advantage at 53-48 with 1:39 remaining, but Franzen converted a pair of free throw attempts and hit a jumper on UNE's next possession to get the hosts to within one (53-52) just inside of a minute.

The contest was tight throughout. The score was tied at 10 after one quarter, and UNE went on to lead 26-25 at intermission.
For the game, the Golden Bears held a 37-31 margin in the rebounding department, while blocking a total of six shots. The victory gave Western New England a sweep of the regular-season series following an 80-61 win on Dec. 2.
Next up for the Nor'easters is a CCC road contest versus rival Endicott College on Tuesday (Jan. 23). Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
