BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Junior Brett DiClementi (Southwick, Mass.) scored with 2:33 elapsed in overtime to give the New England College Pilgrims a 3-2 win over the University of New England in ECAC East men's ice hockey action Friday evening at Biddeford Arena.
DiClementi provided the Pilgrims with the victory, putting home the puck from short range after it was centered from behind the cage. Junior Johan Qvarfordt (Sodertalje, Sweden) and classmate Greg Jacques (West Hartford, Conn.) were credited with assists.

The Pilgrims responded just six seconds later after the Nor'easters won the faceoff but immediately turned the puck over in their defensive end. First-year Cam Geddes (Manchester, N.H.) took advantage of the miscue and rifled home his first collegiate goal to even the game at 1-all.
NEC would take the lead at the 14:43 mark when ECAC East leading scorer Niko Uola (Turku, Finland) went top shelf from close range on the right side for his 11th tally. First-year Greg Girtatos (Tyngsboro, Mass.) set-up the goal.

For the game, the Pilgrims (3-5-1, 2-4 ECAC East) had a 36-24 advantage in shots on goal, including a 13-4 cushion in the opening frame. Senior goaltender Aaron Harvey (Milford, N.S.) made 22 saves to register the victory.
