Prior to UNE: is a graduate of Tri-City Prep High School in Arizona... played for Empire Junior Jamboree Team in Minnesota... was part of a runner-up in 2006-07 Junior “B” National Championship.

Personal: son of Jeanne and Mark Hines... has mentored travel hockey teams... is a medical biology major... a member of the ECAC East all-academic team and is a Dean's List student... is a volunteer at local nursing homes.
