SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Tyler Lewis scored a pair of second-half goals to help host Western New England University pull away for a 5-0 Conference of New England men's soccer victory over the University of New England Saturday afternoon (Sept. 13) at Suprenant Field.
Western New England (2-4-0, 1-0-0) led 1-0 at the half, thanks to a goal by Ben Riley just 1:44 into the contest.
The Golden Bears doubled their lead in the opening minute coming out of intermission when Riley set up Jack Leland. WNE pulled away with a three-goal barrage in a span of 7:13 late in the frame. Lewis went back-to-back before Adam Saleh capped the scoring in the 78th minute.
Braylon Casinghino needed just one save to earn the shutout for the Golden Bears, who led in shots (31-8) and corner kicks (3-1).

Sean MacDonald had six saves in 78 minutes of action before giving way to
Dylan Morris, who stopped a pair of shots the rest of the way.
UNE (0-3-1, 0-1-0) will look to get into the win column Tuesday (Sept. 16) when it plays host to University of Massachusetts Boston for a 4 p.m. non-conference match.
