BIDDEFORD, Maine – Gordon turned in a fast start, leading by as many as 20, on its way to an 86-55 win over the University of New England in Saturday afternoon's Conference of New England men's basketball action on Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum.

Treyton Tebbs' game-high 19 points for Gordon (9-12, 5-9 CNE) was supported by Alex Daniel's 18, as well as 10 from Bernie McGuinness. Daniel was 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and scored 13 points in the second half to help the Fighting Scots continue to pull away. Zach Boulay was the Nor'easters' leading scorer, and the only UNE player in double figures, with 11 points.

Gordon was dominant on the glass, coming away with a 58-33 rebounding advantage. Ryan Brooks' 10 served as the game high.

With the Nor'easters (6-15, 4-10 CNE) already looking at a 30-20 deficit, the Fighting Scots embarked on a 13-3 run in the late minutes of the first half to grab a commanding 43-23 lead. UNE was able to score four unanswered points to salvage some momentum entering the second half, and came within 13 (45-32) after Zach Boulay knocked down a 3-pointer just over a minute in, but found itself again trailing by 20 a few minutes later.

The Nor'easters hit the road on Tuesday, Feb. 11 to square off with Wentworth at 7 p.m. before returning to the Harold Alfond Forum to host Nichols the following Saturday.
