Statistics

HENNIKER, N.H. – The University of New England led wire to wire in its second straight victory, cruising to a 94-77 road victory over New England College in Saturday afternoon's non-conference men's basketball matchup inside Bridges Gymnasium.

Four from UNE (3-3) scored in double figures, including Adam Lux, who notched his second double-double in as many games with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Adrian Torres matched Lux with an efficient 16, going 7-for-9 from the field, all while dishing out a game-high six assists. Kha Cao Ra James scored 12 and Dylan Crowley rounded out the quartet with 10.

Lux and Torres scored 11 and 10, respectively, during the second half as the Nor'easters stretched their 43-38 halftime lead into a 15-point lead fewer than four minutes after the break. Despite shooting nearly 50 percent from the field during the second half, the Pilgrims (4-2) were unable to recover from UNE's hot start to the final frame, which saw the Nor'easters score on each of their first nine possessions. The visitors maintained an impressive pace, too, shooting better than 55 percent from the floor (19-of-34) and finishing the game better than 50 percent (36-for-67) for the second straight game.

Josh Robie and Michael Hills equaled one another for the game high with 17 points apiece for the Pilgrims. Hills knocked down a game-high four triples (4-for-8).

The Nor'easters narrowly claimed the rebounding column, 37-35, and limited turnovers to a season-best eight, all while putting together an efficient 10-for-12 performance from the free throw line.

UNE is back in action on Coach Beaudry's Court Tuesday, Nov. 25, welcoming Dean at 5 p.m.
