Statistics

EAST BOSTON, Mass. – A hat trick from Tori Keyes was more than enough for the University of New England women's soccer team in a dominant 4-0 victory at Suffolk on Saturday afternoon. The Nor'easters have now won three straight, along with six of their last seven.

Saturday marked the first career hat trick for Keyes, and UNE's first since 2018 (Vanessa Hodge against Husson). Now with five total goals in her last two games, Keyes recently scored twice in UNE's 3-0 non-conference win over Emerson on Wednesday. The senior already has five mult-goal games this season and leads the Conference of New England in both goals (12) and points (30).

Anna Flaherty and Haley Coombs combined for the shutout, making one save apiece. UNE (7-3-0, 2-0-0 CNE) put six shots on goal during its offensive barrage, which featured two goals in first half and two more in the second.

Keyes' first tally of the afternoon came in the 19th minute, and she found the back of the net once again in the 22nd minute. With UNE leading the Rams (6-2-1, 0-2-0) 2-0 at halftime, Keyes capped off the hat trick in the 62nd minute before Karley Belisle tacked on UNE's fourth during the 64th minute.

Kylie Curtin came away with three assists, having helped facilitate each of UNE's final three goals. Belisle, in addition to her second-half goal, recorded two assists.

The Nor'easters return to Biddeford to put their three-match win streak to the test with four straight at home, starting with Wednesday's (Oct. 2) matchup with Salve Regina at 4:30 p.m.
