BIDDEFORD, Maine – Winners of seven of the last eight games, along with four in a row, the University of New England women's soccer team continued its dominant stretch by pitching its third consecutive shutout, this time to the tune of a 3-0 victory over Salve Regina on Wednesday evening at Hazard Field.

UNE (8-3) has outscored opponents 10-0 since earning a 3-0 win at home over Emerson a week prior to Wednesday's triumph. Tori Keyes, who entered Wednesday's game with five goals in the Nor'easters last two outings, added another to that tally with a goal in the 80th minute, one of two late UNE strikes that slammed the door on the Seahawks. Keyes has a conference-best 13 goals to her credit this season.

Salve Regina (1-7-2) was on the receiving end of 26 total Nor'easter shots, which tied UNE's season high. 12 of those attempts were on target, including five that were saved by Seahawks keeper Reagan Moffatt during the first half before the Nor'easters netted their first goal in the 33rd minute.

Lindsey Butler scored her second goal of the season, and UNE's first of the evening, from just a few yards out at the right post after being setup by a crossing pass from Keyes (Watch). The 1-0 lead held steady until Keyes' goal with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game (Watch). Fewer than four minutes later, during the 84th minute, Morgan Diefenbach headed home Lizzie Frattaroli's corner kick to score her second goal of the season (Watch).

Anna Flaherty made four saves while logging just shy of 84 minutes between the UNE posts. Haley Coombs entered in relief and made one save. Flaherty has totaled seven saves over the course of the Nor'easters three consecutive shutouts.

With Wednesday's win in the books, UNE is unbeaten in its last 19 meetings with Salve Regina dating back to the 2008 season.

The Nor'easters look to stay hot on Saturday, returning to Conference of New England action and hosting Western New England for homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m.
