SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Ten different players found the back of the cage for Western New England University in a 17-6 decision versus the University of New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's lacrosse action at Golden Bear Stadium on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 20).
WNEU (9-6, 5-1 CCC) raced out to an 8-0 lead through 15 minutes, and the spread grew to 14-1 by halftime.
The Nor'easters (3-13, 0-6) scored the only three goals in the 4th quarter.
Nicholas Campagnone, Dylan Hanley, and Jack Houlden each scored three times to pace the Golden Bears. Chris Catuosco, Rocco DeSimone, and Brock Busa combined for 16 faceoff wins, David Noel and Anthony Gamba both contributed four caused turnovers, and Jonathon Salsbury made four saves.
Shea Fogarty topped UNE with two goals.

Kyle Dunn all scored once, while
Joe O'Keefe had a couple of assists.
Brady Angell and
Tucker Townsend shared the game-high of six ground balls; Townsend captured 10 faceoff wins. Starting goalie
Evan Hazard turned in 14 stops over 45 minutes.
The Nor'easters close out the year on Wednesday at Gordon College (0-6 CCC).
