Statistics

WENHAM, Mass. -- Shea Fogarty authored a monster performance with seven goals and three assists as the University of New England men's lacrosse squad wrapped up the regular season with a 16-10 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory against Gordon College at the Brigham Athletic Complex on Wednesday night (Apr. 24).

The 10 points by Fogarty joins two others in a tie for second among single-game program records, while the seven goals makes for a five-way share of second.

Things were level at 1-1 a couple of minutes into the 1st quarter, before the Nor'easters rattled off nine unanswered goals over an 18-minute span to seize control midway through the 2nd frame -- including five consecutive by Fogarty. In the 4th, Gordon closed within five at several moments, however, the visitors were able to counter with a goal every time.

Evan Hazard turned in the most saves by a UNE goalie in five years, with 21, to go with a team-high seven ground balls.

Sam McGregor added two goals and two assists for the Nor'easters, who also received a pair of scores from Collin Jackson. Stephen Fogarty added three points and five ground balls, while Brady Angell contributed six more ground balls.

On the side of the Fighting Scots, Marco Fernandez had six goals and one assist. Aidan Walsh captured 21-of-30 faceoffs and scooped up a game-best nine ground balls. Colin Liscomb recorded 17 stops.

UNE concludes the season at 4-13 overall and 1-6 in CCC action. Gordon settles at 4-11 and 0-7 in league outings.
