WATERVILLE, Maine –
Harlan Lundgren came off the bench and immediately scored for the University of New England in the 86
th minute to help the Nor'easters to a 1-1 tie against Thomas College on Sunday afternoon.
In the 86
th minute Lundgren came into the game for the first time. Only 15 seconds later
Alex Woodworth found Lundgren at the top of the box and he finished to the right side to bring the Nor'easters even.
UNE held the Terriers shotless in the first half while the Nor'easters had two attempts but the game remained scoreless after 45 minutes.
Craig Coventry found the back of the net on the first Thomas shot of the day in the 68
th minute. Daud Abdi and Harry Clough assisted on the goal. The Nor'easter offense continued to get chances after falling behind but were unable to break through until late.
UNE held a 9-4 advantage in shots and 4-1 on goal. Keein Wright had three saves for the Terriers.
The Nor'easters will visit #6 Bowdoin on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
