With the result, the Mariners wrap the opening weekend at 3-0. Hunnie Zuber-Stephens led the way with eight kills and a .467 attack rate, while Chloe Weeks contributed seven kills. Twenty-one assists came from Annabel Frieden, and both Sydney Rich and Grace Jennings dropped in three aces. Rich also topped the match with nine digs.
For the Nor'easters (1-1),

Viktoria Pavlyuk notched six winners, primarily off of the 21 assists by
Kassidy Bradshaw, who also pinged two service aces.
Kailyn Reilly had a pair of solo blocks and
Addie Miller collected eight digs from a defensive standpoint.
In a contest with 16 ties and 10 lead changes, the initial set had the least volatility but was also the tightest. Down 22-17, a late push from the Nor'easters cut the margin to 24-23 before Zuber-Stephens closed the stanza.
Arden Caley and
Kendall Gallaugher combined for two blocks in the waning points; both also had four kills in the match.
Gallaugher put UNE up 13-12 in the 2nd after a back-and-forth start, but MMA captured seven of the next eight to seize control. Again with a one point edge in the 3rd (10-9), another seven-of-eight span flipped the advantage in Maine Maritime's favor.
