BIDDEFORD, Maine --
Viktoria Pavlyuk and
Ellijah Hanley combined for 26 kills to guide the University of New England women's volleyball team over the University of Hartford, 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-16), at Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum late Saturday afternoon (Oct. 14).
Winners of four in-a-row, the Nor'easters move to 10-5 on the year. Hartford (3-6) is the newest member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), however still in the process of reclassifying from Division I to Division III, and so the match does not count towards the 2023 league standings.
Hanley led the way for the hosts with 16 points on 12 kills and four service aces, and Pavlyuk had a season-high in kills (14) for a the second straight outing.
Hannah Nowell contributed six kills with a .417 attack percentage, which was aided by some of the 31 assists from
Kassidy Bradshaw. Bradshaw was the closest of any player to a double-double by adding nine digs.
Addie Miller topped the match with 12 digs and tallied three aces, which was the same number provided by
Kailyn Reilly.
For the Hawks, Zahara Quraishi had 14 kills. Kionah Thomas picked up 11 digs.

[Watch] -- left the Nor'easters ahead for good. Hanley had four kills in each frame, including one that finished things off
[Watch].
Like the opening stanza, the 2nd also featured three lead-changes, but this time UNE's key 6-0 run came early, making it 10-6. Five of those points were from positive swings out of Hanley or Pavlyuk. A big-time block from Pavlyuk and
Kendall Gallaugher kept the Nor'easters from relinquishing that edge at 12-all
[Watch], and two plays later, Gallaugher and Nowell blocked UNE into the lead for good (14-13). Kills from Nowell
[Watch], GallaugherÂ
[Watch], and Pavlyuk
[Watch] down the stretch helped the hosts gain a two-set cushion. Gallaugher notched four of her five points in the 2nd.
The Nor'easters went wire-to-wire in the 3rd. Nowell registered the kill on one of the longer points in the match at 13-7
[Watch], while back-to-back winners from Hanley wrapped a 7-1 spurt that pushed the spread up to full control at 21-10
