BIDDEFORD, Maine – Thomas College scored twice in the final eight minutes of play to end the comeback bid for the University of New England in a 4-2 victory at Barbara J. Hazard Field on Saturday afternoon.

Gabriel Fortuna received the ball from Hunter Smith after a scramble at the top of the box and booted it to the low-right corner to put the Terriers in front for good in the 83
rd minute. Micky Woodrow buried a rebound from close range after a free kick by Joshua Joseph just over two minutes later to put the game out of reach.

Eric LaBrie scored twice in the 24
th and 29
th minutes to give Thomas an early 2-0 lead. The Nor'easters got one back in the 44
th minutes as

Brendan Crichton fought off a defender and scored after a long pass from

Thomas outshot UNE 14-12, including 9-4 on goal. Triston O'Hagen made four saves in the loss. Matthew Gosselin played the entire second half in goal for the Terriers and made one stop in the win.
