SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Western New England University put up 575 yards of total offense on the way to a 33-0 decision versus the University of New England football squad in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) outing at Golden Bear Stadium on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 5).
With the win, the Golden Bears (4-5, 3-2 CCC) shift ahead of the Nor'easters (5-4, 3-3 CCC) in the league standings. With the conference slate now complete, UNE is assured of booking its highest finish among the CCC ranks.
Western New England found the end zone on its first drive of the day and then twice in the latter stages of the opening half to gain a 20-0 cushion. Two touchdown passes from Bryce Karstetter to De'Andre Harris, totaling 50 yards, bookended the scoring plays prior to intermission.

The Golden Bear defense received double-digit tackles from Thomas Gasbarro and Jake Chiasson, and two of the team's three interceptions from Zayd Sadiq, amounting to 89 yards of returns.
