BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England turned Regis College (Mass.) over 32 times and ran away with a 75-44 women's basketball victory at Coach Beaudry's Court inside the Harold Alfond Forum on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 19).

Winning for the second straight outing, the Nor'easters (3-2) led the entire way. A run of 16 unanswered points during the majority of the 2nd period pushed the gap into double digits for good, and the spread maxed out at 37 (68-31) in the 4th quarter.

The defensive effort was relentless, as 21 steals helped produce 39 points-off-turnovers and 20 points in transition. The hosts also went 24-for-28 at the free throw line (86%), and knocked down 24-of-45 field-goal attempts from inside the arc.

Kasey Oliver led UNE with 13 points off the bench, missing only once between five shots from the floor and five at the line. Jordyn Franzen collected 12 points, seven steals, and a couple blocks, while Keagan Dunbar put up 11 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Faye Veilleux was a force early on and ended with eight points, five boards, five steals, and two blocks, and Juliana Tracey also registered eight points with five caroms.

For the Pride (0-4), Courtney Doherty topped all players with 15 points -- largely behind 8-of-10 accuracy at the charity stripe. Just a few days after a 36-point performance, Pam Gonzalez was limited to six points and a game-high nine rebounds.

The Nor'easters get a day of rest before entertaining Anna Maria College on Monday (6 p.m.).
