BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England uses a balanced attack to sweep the University of Southern Maine, 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-14), in women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon (Aug. 31) at the Harold Alfond Forum.
After leading the whole way in the 1st set, the Nor'easters (2-0) battled to a commanding advantage in the 2nd, which feature 10 ties and six lead-changes.
Molly Camelo registered a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs for the hosts, and
Katie Flynn added nine kills.
Sydney Christiansen facilitated the offense with 32 assists, and
Katie Marsh picked up a team-high 12 digs.
For the Huskies (2-1), Kacey Foerster went for 10 kills and a match-best 14 digs. Sophie Lindsay notched 25 assists, and Lauren Delissio contributed 10 digs in support.
