POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Megan Monastra tallied 16 kills to guide the University of Scranton in a 3-0 decision (25-19, 25-23, 25-16) against the University of New England women's volleyball team on Friday evening (Sep. 7) at the Vassar College Invitational.
Kate Calabro and Catherine Manning contributed 10 and eight kills, respectively, for the Royals (4-2), who received 32 assists from Kyra Bevenour. Molly Dunfee had a team-high nine digs.
For the Nor'easters (1-4),
Katie Flynn led the way with six kills, three service aces, and a match-best 15 digs. Rene Reggonbuck and
Mia Martel both had five kills in support of the attack, which was generated by 24 assists off the hands of
Sydney Christiansen. Defensively,
Katie Marsh recorded 12 digs.
