CLERMONT, Fla. -- Alexis Kidder fanned five against four hits and a walk as SUNY Geneseo topped the University of New England softball team, 6-1, on Thursday afternoon (Mar. 16) at at the Dot Richardson Spring Games hosted by the U.S. National Training Center.

Four players had multiple hits to support the offensive efforts for the Knights (7-3), led by Kylie Papagelos with three to go with two runs. Alyssa Persich notched two hits, two runs batted in, and scored once, while Abby Dennett had two hits with one RBI and run. Danni Napoli also had two base knocks.

Sydney Helmbrecht registered two hits for the Nor'easters (4-4). Avery Alberghini tallied a hit and scored the only run.

Sydnee Bessler surrendered two earned runs in the loss for UNE.
