Ian Rodden scored at 5:29 of the third period to tie the game, and neither team would tally the rest of the way as the Nor'easters and Saint Anselm College played to a 2-2 overtime draw in New England Hockey College (NEHC) men's action Friday night (Dec. 4) at Sullivan Arena.
Now 10 games into the season, the Nor'easters own an overall mark of 4-4-2 and are 1-4-1 in conference play. Saint Anselm is 5-2-1 overall, 4-1-1 in NEHC action.
Armand Uomoleale set-up Rodden's game-tying goal, carrying the puck through center ice and into the offensive zone before dropping it back to Rodden, who one-timed a blast into the net.

Brady Fleurent just 2:15 into the game. Fleurent's fourth goal in two games came on the power play and was a tip-in of a blast from the point by
Kyle Williams.
Tucker Ross added a secondary assist.
The Hawks would jump ahead before the close of the frame with back-to-back goals. Bryan Sullivan tallied with a man advantage at 14:10, and that was followed-up less than two minutes later with a score by Nick Leonard.
The middle period was a scoreless one despite the Hawks outshooting UNE 13-3 over the 20 minutes. For the game, Saint Anselm had a 31-24 advantage in that category.
Connor Maloney registered 29 saves for UNE, while his counterpart Shane Joyce totaled 22 for the Hawks.
The Nor'easters will conclude first-semester play tomorrow afternoon on the road when they face New England College in an NEHC game at Lee Clement Arena. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
