The Beavers, ranked fifth in the D3Hockey.com national poll and sixth in the United State College Hockey Online (USCHO) ranking, remain unbeaten at 6-0-0 (4-0-0 NEHC). The Nor'easters dropped their fourth consecutive start to dip to 1-4-1, 1-4-0 in conference play.

Babson opened the scoring at 8:33 of the first when Bill Seligman intercepted a pass, brought the puck up the left side and rifled home a wrist shot inside the near post.

The Beavers doubled their lead four minutes later on a rebound conversion by Dan Casey. Tim Searles' initial shot was stopped, but Casey poked the puck into the goal from the top of the crease. Seligman had a secondary assist on the play.

Matt Brazel would notch his first career goal at 14:50, firing home a high wrist shot from the right circle. Josh Casper set-up the scoring play.

Babson had the lone goal of the second period when Charlie Ackerman stuffed home a rebound of a shot by Rob Devaney, who had rushed up the ice after getting a feed from Casper. Ackerman's score came just 59 seconds into the frame.

UNE got on the scoreboard at 7:19 of the third while on the power play. Trevor Fleurent snapped in a wrist shot from the right circle with Brady Fleurent and Ian Rodden setting the play up.

Babson's Bobby Hall completed the game's scoring with 11 seconds remaining.

Murray, an All-America selection a year ago, earned his sixth win of the season and 54th of his career.

For UNE, Joe Noonan had nine saves in the first period before giving way to Connor Maloney, who totaled 22 the rest of the way.

Both teams play non-conference games Tuesday. UNE hosts Bowdoin College at 7 p.m. and the Beavers play a 7:30 p.m. road contest versus UMass Dartmouth.
