KINGSTON, R.I. -- The University of Rhode Island club ice hockey team downed the University of New England Nor'easters, 4-3, in an exhibition game played Sunday afternoon.

Juniors Ted Fabian (Oakland, Maine). Justin Miner (Stratham, N.H.) and Eric Hines (Prescott, Ariz.) tallied goals for the Nor'easters, who open their season Friday (Nov. 19) at defending national champion Norwich University.

Senior goaltender Mike Roper (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia) had 36 saves.
