Ron Ouellette's teams kicked off their 2009 season in style, capturing the St. Joe's Relay
STANDISH, Maine -- The University of New England men's and women's cross country teams opened their season with a co-ed win at the Saint Joseph's College Relay on Friday morning.
The Nor'easters posted a team score of nine points -- one point shy of a perfect score -- to down the host school.
UNE's top finishers from the relay portion of the event are listed below.
In the open co-ed portion of the event, Jon Dupuis (21:43),
Devon Sargent (21:55) and Zach Pinkham (21:57) swept the first three male finishing spots, while
Kim Hentz (24:33) and Nicole Sidiropolous (24:36) were the fifth and sixth-place finishers for women.
The Nor'easters return to competition next Saturday (Sept. 12) when they host the UNE Invitational.
