Kenny Treschitta joined the UNE football coaching staff in July 2016 as the defensive coordinator for the new program.

He came to Biddeford from Western Connecticut State University [NCAA III], where he coached the secondary and safeties in 2015. Prior to that, Treschitta served as inside linebackers coach for current UNE head coach,
Mike Lichten, at Becker College [NCAA III] during the 2014 season. Treschitta was the defensive line coach at McKendree University [NCAA II] in 2013.
A 2009 graduate of The Catholic University of America [NCAA III], Treschitta was a two-year starter for the Cardinals, who went 9-2 and captured the 2008 ECAC Southeast Bowl. In 25 career games on defense (DB/LB), he totaled 50 tackles and returned nine kickoffs for an average of 14.6 yards. He earned the team's Anthony Bottoni Leadership Award his senior season and attained a bachelor's degree in history and secondary education.
Then, after two years as an assistant of the varsity squad at Fairfield Warde High School (Conn.), Treschitta earned a master's degree in higher education administrative services from McKendree in 2014.
He and his wife, Kiely, live in Biddeford with their toddler son.
