Christa Hendley (DAT, LAT, ATC) joined the UNE staff as an Athletic Trainer for the 2022-23 academic year.

She came to Biddeford following nearly five years (2017-22) in a similar position at Transylvania University [NCAA III]. While there, she was also an adjunct professor at both Transy and the University of Kentucky.

Prior to that, Hendley was elsewhere in Kentucky serving as Head Athletic Trainer at University of the Cumberlands [NAIA] from 2014-17. Before that, she spent one academic year working with Lemak Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Alabama, while serving as Head Athletic Trainer for Montevallo High School.

Following 2011-12 when she was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at East Stroudsburg University [NCAA II], Hendley began her professional career in 2012-13 as an Athletic Trainer at Chowan University [NCAA II] in North Carolina.

The Hampstead, New Hampshire native completed her Doctor of Athletic Training degree in 2020. Hendley earned a master's degree from East Stroudsburg in 2012, and a bachelor's degree from Colby-Sawyer College in 2011 -- both in athletic training.
