Gleason played every position during three seasons (2015-17) of softball at Tennessee State University [NCAA I]. She started the majority of 144 games for the Tigers at shortstop or catcher, and finished with a .295 batting average to go with 51 runs scored, 46 runs batted in, and 21 stolen bases. Her career started at Saint Joseph's College of Maine [NCAA III], where she paced the offense on a squad that went 34-6 while claimed a conference title and advanced into the NCAA tournament. In 39 games for the Monks, Gleason hit at a .445 clip with a .639 slugging percentage, scored 24 times, and drove in 22 more runs. She was named as the conference Rookie of the Year and earned all-league second team status. Gleason also played a season (2013-14) of basketball at St. Joe's, appearing in all but two contests for a team that won the conference crown and participated in the NCAA Championship. She graduated from Tennessee State in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
