11th year [10th season] as UNE Head Coach (2020); 229-166-2 overall

Dan Letellier has led the UNE softball team for 10 years, highlighted by the program's second Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title in 2012 and a berth into the NCAA Championship. Big Blue finished that year with a 27-14 mark, which included a four-game sweep through the CCC Championship. The Nor'easters then became the second team in University history to win a game at the NCAA level, following only the softball squad from 2000.

During the latter stages of the 2018 season, Letellier recorded his 200th career victory in game number 345, and now stands with a 229-166-2 coaching mark (.579). The Nor'easters are 124-64 (.660) in CCC contests under his direction.

In 2011, Letellier's group posted the highest win total (29) in more than 17 seasons of the UNE program, and he was voted CCC Coach of the Year by his peers. He again received the honor in 2019, as the squad logged the most wins since that 2012 campaign (26) and placed second in the league standings for the first time since 2010.

A Biddeford native and resident, Letellier and his wife, Tina, have three daughters -- Laura, Erica, and Jessica. Erica, who was a two-time all-conference defender on the lacrosse team at UMaine Farmington [NCAA III], currently serves as the assistant coach to the UNE women's lacrosse team.
