Personal: the son of Lori and Michael McCarthy... majoring in business administration... his sister, Cara, is currently a graduate student playing lacrosse at Bentley University.

Prior to UNE: two years of soccer and three of varsity volleyball at Central Catholic High School (Mass.)... senior captain and Comeback Player in soccer... second team all-conference and team MVP as a senior in volleyball.
