Previous Coaching Experience
Della Pietra split his first two years at UNE between the men's and women's programs. He coached soccer for over 25 years in Italy before moving to the U.S. in 2015. He has also worked as a Strength & Conditioning Trainer for professional basketball and soccer clubs in Italy.
Competitive Experience / Education
Della Pietra played almost 15 seasons for various Italian soccer clubs, including one year in semi-professional fourth division in Naples. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education at University of Naples and a bachelor’s degree in education, with a concentration in history and philosophy, at University of Cassino. Della Pietra holds both a UEFA B coaching license and Strength & Conditioning Trainer for Soccer license from the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC), along with a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma and Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma.
