Halligan spent 10 seasons (2007-16) as an assistant with the women's program at the University of Southern Maine [NCAA III].

Competitive Experience / Education
Halligan was on the roster for one season (2001) at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte [NCAA I], and then played three years (2002-04) at the University of Maine [NCAA I]. He received a bachelor's degree in history from UMaine in 2005, and later earned a master's degree in recreation and sport science at Ohio University in 2017.
