Personal: his parents are Mary Beth and Ken Bloom... majoring in medical biology... a Dean's List student, member of the CCC Academic All-Conference Team, and inductee into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society... active with UNE's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Prior to UNE: played varsity ice hockey at Northville High School, where he earned all-conference and all-state honors... was named All-Area Player of the Year... owns the single-season scoring mark at Northville... played junior hockey for the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL.
