Personal: the son of Carla and Byron Canty... majoring in medical biology... his mother was a track & field sprinter and his father was a hurdler, both at Boise State University.

Prior to UNE: attended Woodstock Academy for one year... graduated from Brighton Horizon's Academy (Texas), where he was first team all-district and honorable mention all-state.
