A familiar face to those who know UNE basketball, Simpson is in his second season as assistant coach for the Nor'easters. Simpson came to Biddeford from Hill Community College and had a stellar two-year playing career for Big Blue. In 58 games, he racked up 818 points, 331 rebounds, 255 assists, and 122 steals. An exceptional leader, Simpson was the driving force behind UNE’s run to the TCCC title in 2009. He was selected TCCC Defensive Player of the Year his senior season and was twice named first team all-conference. Simpson has a bachelor’s degree in sport management.
