Prior to UNE: played basketball and baseball at E.O. Smith High School, totaling six varsity letters... MVP of both sports as a senior, with state all-star game appearances in each... also as a senior, helped the basketball team to the Connecticut Class L quarterfinals, was a first team all-conference pick and team captain, and set school records for points in a season (588) and free throw percentage, as well as career free throw percentage (84.6).
