Personal: his parents are Andy and Dick Hobbs... majoring in business... his father played basketball at the U.S. Naval Academy... his brothers, Tommy and Jack, played basketball at the University of New Orleans and the University of Hartford, respectively.

Prior to UNE: attended prep school at Impact Basketball Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada.
