Personal: the daughter of Ruth and Jeff Shaw... majoring in medical biology... her mother, Ruth Gagnon Shaw, is member of the UNE Athletics Hall of Fame for basketball and volleyball.

Prior to UNE: transferred from Brandeis University, where she played one season of basketball and averaged 6.5 points (183) and 4.6 rebounds in 28 games... attended Thornton Academy before that, playing basketball and volleyball... captained both squads... was a Maine McDonald's All-Star and Second Team All-Conference selection in basketball.
