Biography

2011: started all 17 games for the Nor'easters... picked up 37 ground balls for the season...  was ranked 6th in CCC conference games for goals against average (10.35).

2010: played in every match for UNE... had a goals against average of 10.85 for the season and a .546 save percentage... also accumulated a total of 66 ground balls on the year.

2009: played in 13 of 16 games for UNE, starting in 10 contests... posted a 10.78 goals against average and .540 save percentage... recorded a season-high 21 saves in an 8-6 setback to Wentworth.

Prior to UNE: was a member of two state championships squads while playing at Cohasset High School... was a two-year starter and captain his senior season... selected an honorable mention all-star by the Patriot Ledger.

Personal: the son of Sarah and James Porter... participated in an Appalachia service project in 2006... serving his 3rd season as team captain for the Nor'easters... majoring in marine biology.
