WENHAM, Mass. -- Gordon College defeated the University of New England by a 7-0 in Conference of New England (CNE) men's tennis action at the Brigham Athletic Complex on Wednesday (Apr. 8). 

The Fighting Scots (8-7, 5-2 CNE) yielded a total of three games to the Nor'easters (3-4, 2-3) during the doubles portion to get out to an early lead, and then were efficient on the back end of the singles lineup to secure the league victory.

Liam Miller took five games off his opponent at #2 singles (6-3, 6-2), and Drake Turcotte snagged four more from the hosts in the top spot (6-2, 6-2).

UNE is back in Biddeford for the next four conference matches, starting with a visit from Suffolk University (1-5 CNE) on Thursday (3:30 p.m.).
