BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England made quick work of visiting Curry College on Wednesday (Oct. 21), registering a 7-0 Conference of New England (CNE) women's tennis victory at Blue Cyclone Complex.

In combination with other results from around the league, the Nor'easters (10-4, 5-4 CNE) will have a place in the postseason for the second time in as many years as a program. The six-team tournament begins next week, following the regular-season finale at Nichols College (3-6 CNE) on Saturday.

With a late scratch in the Curry lineup, the Colonels (0-15, 0-8) were forced into conceding the #3 doubles and #6 singles matches. UNE proceeded to breeze through the doubles portion without yielding a game, and then blanked all but one of the singles contests, too.

Madeline Frank, Nora Hill, Andie Lamontagne, and Sofia Salcedo Ladaga -- the four Nor'easters recognized pre-match as part of Senior Day -- each won two matches on the afternoon.

"This group has so much to be proud of," shared UNE head coach Adam Reeb. "They've helped launch women's tennis here and have been super successful doing it. Their hard work and efforts have set the tone for this program for years to come. They've left an indelible mark and will be missed next season."

Alyssa Fritschka captured the #5 singles match to round out the performance.
