BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The University of New England extended host Babson College to a fourth set before falling to the host Beavers by a score of 3-1 (25-14, 15-18, 17-25, 25-19) Saturday afternoon (Sept. 20) at Staake Gymnasium.
Ellijah Hanley continued her strong play, leading all players with 10 kills. Hanley has now recorded double-digits in kills in seven consecutive matches.
Hannah Nowell chipped in with eight kills, while
Chloe Miracle added six.
Kelsey Bradshaw contributed 15 digs and three service aces.Â
Angelina Holm paced a balanced Babson (6-3) attack with nine winners. Isabella Allen added eight, and Hailey Fouche and Allison Molendyk finished with seven apiece.
The Beavers hit .205 for the match, compared to just .064 for the Nor'easters. Babson was strong at the net, racking up a total of 12 blocks.
UNE (5-6) opens Conference of New England play Wednesday (Sept. 24) with a 7 p.m. road match at Gordon College.
