Statistics

BEVERLY, Mass. -- Endicott College scored 20 times in the first half, as the defending conference champion Gulls opened Conference of New England play with a 27-5 men's lacrosse victory over the University of New England Wednesday evening (Mar. 26) at Hempstead Stadium.

With the win Endicott (5-3, 1-0 CNE) snapped a three-game losing streak after opening the 2025 campaign with four consecutive victories.

Leading 8-1 after one quarter, the Gulls put the game away with a 12-goal outburst in the second frame to take a 20-3 lead into halftime.

A balanced Endicott scoring attack was paced by Cam Fernandez, who registered three of his match-high four goals in the opening quarter. Tommy Tyksinski notched three scores, while seven other Gulls contributed a pair of tallies.

Stephen Fogarty and Kyle Dunn each found the cage twice to account for all but one of UNE's goals. James Bridges rounded out the scoring for the visiting Nor'easters.

The stat sheet was slanted heavily in favor of Endicott, with the Gulls leading in shots (76-19), ground balls (59-30) and face-offs won (29-7). Teagan Alexander, the first of three Endicott goalkeepers, earned the win with three saves over the opening 30 minutes.

Starting goalie Evan Hazard had eight stops for the Nor'easters (5-5, 0-1) before giving way to Christian Berluti, who added a career-high 11 over the final 38 minutes.

UNE returns to action Friday (Mar. 28) when it hosts Western New England University in a CNE tilt starting a 4 p.m.
