HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Connecticut College poured in seven first-quarter goals and cruised to a 17-6 victory over the University of New England women's lacrosse team on Wednesday afternoon, wrapping up the Nor'easters' two-game slate in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
In its final non-conference game, UNE (2-5) received three goals from
Barrie Guertin, who netted a career-high five goals in Monday's 18-9 win over Bard. Four from Conn. College (5-2), delivered hat tricks.
Morgan White answered an early Camel goal to tie the game, 1-1, before Conn. College took over with a 9-0 run that stretched into opening minutes of the second quarter. The Camels entered the third with a 12-3 lead, and after opening the frame with three straight goals, traded tallies with UNE for the rest of the second half.
Conn. College earned a 29-14 advantage in groundballs, as well as a 16-11 edge in draw controls, and committed just 12 turnovers. The Camels put 26 shots on goal, with

UNE opens its Conference of New England slate on Wednesday, March 26 with a visit to Endicott at 4 p.m.
