Statistics

HARTFORD, Conn. – Mayson Massaro's goal in the 29th minute was enough to lead No. 1 seed Hartford past fourth-seeded University of New England, 1-0, in the semifinals of the 2025 Conference of New England Women's Soccer Championship on Wednesday evening at Al-Marzook Field.

The Hawks (13-3-2) set their sights on Saturday's championship round, where they'll host the winner of the other semifinal that pits No. 2 Endicott against No. 6 Suffolk.

Massaro's goal came on a free kick late in the first half, and despite five corner kicks in the second half, the Nor'easters (13-5-3) were unable to post the equalizer down the stretch. A last-minute UNE attempt hit the left post before taking an unfavorable bounce.

With shots on goal being even at 5-5, Haley Coombs recorded four saves while Sejal Johnson made five stops to earn the shutout. Total shots sided with Hartford, 11-8.
