BRISTOL, R.I. -- Roger Williams University overcame a two-set deficit to chalk up a 3-2 Conference of New England result (23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18, 15-12) against the University of New England women's volleyball squad at the Paolino Rec Center on Saturday (Nov. 1).
Angela West, Kaylee Jackson, and Brianna Picchietti combined for 44 kills on the side of the Hawks (13-10, 7-1 CNE). Peyton Felix added nine kills and had a hand in six of the team's 11 blocks, which was one more than West. Emma Bosco put up 51 assists to with 14 digs. Marianna Hernandez topped the defensive effort with 17 digs, and Jackson tacked 15 more.
For the Nor'easters (11-11, 4-4),
Hannah Nowell dialed up 24 points, largely behind match highs of 19 kills and four service aces. She also tallied a contest-best 21 digs.
Ellijah Hanley supplied 16 kills and 18 digs, and
Abby Zamora joined the double-double group with 34 assists and 15 digs.
Kelsey Bradshaw recorded another 13 digs.
UNE heads for Endicott College on Wednesday.
